• Emergi-Lite manufacturing facilities are certified by BSI under BS EN ISO 9001:2000, certificate no. FM/09470

• Our conversions department is licensed to carry out ICEL1004 conversions, licence no. 4030923

• Our service department undertakes commissioning of emergency lighting systems in line with BS 5266-1 for emergency lighting and BS 5839 for fire detection and alarm systems

Product Compliance:

• All Emergi-Lite products are designed and manufactured to comply with the latest British, European and International Standards for emergency lighting and fire detection use as applicable, and are CE marked and EMC compliant.

• Emergi-lite have Kitemark certification for a range of luminaires (KM13139) and modules (KM21421), and also hold ENEC licences for modules and LED based products

• Emergency luminaires are designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of BS EN 60598.2.22

• ICEL registered emergency luminaires meet the latest ICEL1001:2000 requirements

• Conversion modules conform to the safety and performance requirements of EN 61347 and IEC/EN 60925

• Central power supply systems are manufactured to comply with BS EN 50171 and ICEL1009

• Fire panels are designed to comply with BS EN 54, and are suitable for BS 5839-1.2002. Fire detection and alarm equipment can also be applied to BS 5839-6:2004 installations

• The Fire detection devices supplied by Emergi-Lite have been independently certified and approved by LPCB. They are suitable for BS 5839-1:2002 and BS 5839-6:2004 installations

Future Developments in Emergency Lighting and Fire Detection Standards:

In addition to ensuring compliance, Emergi-Lite makes an active and worthwhile contribution to the ongoing review and development of emergency lighting and fire detection Standards and Codes of Practice. The Emergi-Lite technical team sits on a number of key industry committees and working groups, including:

• LIF and ICEL technical commitee

• BSI CPL34/9 committee for emergency lighting and BSI FSH12 for fire detection products

• CELMA working group for emergency lighting

• IEC TC34 Lamp and Related Equipment SC 34D (sub-committee Lumex ELP)

• Fire Industry Association Board and Fire Detection and Alarm Council
